Let your lashes do the talking with these beautiful and natural looking high quality faux mink eyelashes! Now that the holiday season is upon us, these are just what you need to inject a healthy dose of glamour and festivity into your appearance.
Faux Mink Eyelashes

False eyelashes are an essential item to add to your make-up bag! Especially at this time of the year. Dramatic lashes are the perfect finishing touch to any look and can be worn during the day or at night. Fake eyelashes have really evolved over the years. There is such a wide range of faux eyelashes available for every occasion. It doesn’t matter whether you want natural looking lashes, longer lashes, fuller lashes, or dramatic lashes – you’ll be able to find just what you’re looking for. Whereas many false eyelashes were very obvious and looked cheap before, there are many well known lash brands that specialise in authentic, high quality false eyelashes. The only issue with many of the high quality, authentic looking false lashes on the market is that they are often made from mink hair. I was desperate to try a pair of high quality, natural looking lashes but didn’t want to try real mink lashes. So I was really happy when False Eyelashes UK sent me some of their faux mink lashes.

Land of Lashes – Aurora

The first set of lashes I tried were the Land of Lashes strip lashes in the style Aurora. I was really impressed with the quality of the lashes. Even though these were the heavier of the two pairs I tried, they felt exceptionally lightweight and weren’t at all uncomfortable to wear. I used the KISS black lash glue to apply them and they stayed put all day. I love long, full looking lashes and these were definitely dramatic! Yet, thanks to their high quality, they didn’t look cheap or plastic in the way that some do. They still had that fluffy appearance and texture that your natural eyelashes have. Of course, you don’t have to apply the whole strip. You can cut them down or cut into the lashes to alter their texture and length, but I couldn’t have done that with these as they are so beautiful. Despite these lashes being the more dramatic of the two pairs, I could still wear these as part of an everyday look – not just for a special event or in the evening.

Ardell Wispies

I’d never tried a set of wispies before these. These are the definitely the most natural set of false lashes I have ever tried. Again, I used the KISS black false lash adhesive to apply them. Although the lashes felt strong and secure for the entire day I wore them, both pairs of lashes and the glue were easy to remove. I understand that some pairs of false eyelashes can look a little intimidating, especially if you’ve never worn false eyelashes or even much eye make-up before. This pair of wispies from Ardell however, is the perfect set of lashes for a beginner or for somebody who wants to slowly ease themselves into wear artificial lashes. If you’re looking for very subtle false lashes just to simply enhance what you have, you can use individual lashes. Personally, I’d recommend using strip lashes like these instead of individual lashes which can prove quite tricky to apply. A set of strip lashes like these wispies will give you the same subtle effect but are much easier to apply.

Kiss Black Lash Glue

Apply these lashes was made super easy thanks to this black false lash glue by Kiss. I’ve tried other lash glues and this didn’t sting my eyes as much which made me happy of course. Also, the fact that it is black makes the application easier for those who are less experienced with applying faux eyelashes. This black eyelash glue dries black instead of transparent or white like other lash glues and therefore if you make a mistake or if the glue is visible, it is easier to disguise as eyeliner or clean off.

Overall I am really happy with these faux mink eyelashes. If you’re looking for an ethical alternative to mink or silk lashes, or simply want to try out a pair of quality faux lashes, I’d highly recommend these sets! Don’t forget to follow me over on Instagram to see how I will be wearing these lashes again over the festive period!
