Imagine just how much money you would save if you didn’t buy any items of clothing for a whole year?! What about if you could watch a professional fashion stylist do the same and get expert help and support from your very own personal stylist whenever you need? Wouldn’t that make everything so much easier? The Ethical Style Project is a project that will run for 1 whole year (and hopefully beyond) and will help you to save money, save the planet, dress better and shop smarter. Whilst the challenge of giving up retail therapy for one whole year might sound daunting, it’s worth thinking about all of the times you’ve bought items that were the wrong size, that didn’t suit you well, that you never wore and just generally didn’t make the cut! Frequent shopping trips don’t promise to make you stylish, no matter how much you buy or how much you spend. That is why it is only fair that in exchange for quitting shopping until next year, The Online Personal Stylist will in return offer you professional styling help as and when you need, which will equip you with the right knowledge on how to dress well for when you go shopping again. Throughout the year you will learn so much from brands and industry experts, plus there will be lots of How-Tos and tutorials for you to enjoy, which will help you with learning to dress for your shape and colouring, as well as make smarter choices when choosing clothes.

I am sure that we’ve all been guilty of buying items of clothing that we never actually wear. Should we find ourselves in bargain retail stores, it can be all too easy to absentmindedly throw items into our shopping baskets without paying much attention to what we are actually buying because after all they are so cheap, right?! Would you re-evaluate your shopping habits if you knew that it can take up to 2, 700 litres of water to produce a single cotton t-shirt? That’s a lot of water for something that you may later regard as an “unwanted purchase”. Yet despite the fact that a lot of people come away from a shopping trip with way more than what they intended to buy, the age-old phrase “A wardrobe full of clothes but nothing to wear” still applies here.

Learn to Love the Clothes You Already Own and Learn How to Style and Upcycle them to Suit You Better

The aim of this project is to encourage people to buy and also educate them on the importance of ethical, cruelty-free and sustainable clothing. Despite working in the fashion industry, I myself have only switched over to buying ethical and cruelty-free products 2 years ago when I began learning about the cruelty and environmental harm involved in mainstream clothing production. I don’t try to hide the fact that my transition has only been a recent one, but instead use it to show my readers that we are on this new journey of change together. What I am trying to do is encourage the ‘everyday woman’ that it is easy and affordable to have a stylish wardrobe without damaging the environment or any living beings. I spent years being mislead and reading conflicting information about these topics until I learned the true facts and decided to support ethical fashion 100%. As I am sure you are aware, there are many organisations out there trying to educate people on these matters in a very aggressive and to-the-point manner. I however, would like to provide my audience with attractive content and stylish examples in the hope that the decision to re-think what you are buying is an easy one.
So what do you say? Are you ready to get FREE support from an expert stylist? Are you interested in learning how much money you could save and what an impact your move could have on the planet? We’re in this together!
